These bookshelves are beautiful. Bought 2 for our school. The only downside is that you will need bookends because of the open ends. But they are really beautiful and durable! During our 7.2 magnitude earthquake, not a single book fell off the shelves! That is quite something. Ours is on carpet so I put shims under both front legs to make them lean a little more towards the wall and apparently it worked!

I live in an attic and was looking for a bookshelf that was high, "open" (no back panel) and stable. It fits the bill very well. Each shelf is essentially a clone of the other, so assembly was very easy. I was able to put this together while distracted by watching a movie. However, you MAY need two people to lift it to a standing position. Especially if you are small like me (5'3). Otherwise solid work and a good price.
