My old valve did not close fully. I put a washer in, but the new washer must have been old and hardened because it still didn't fully close. I thought of taking another brass valve like the old one and soldering it on, but it was much quicker and easier. Nothing leaks and closes completely. The cost is a little higher for convenience, but in this case it was worth it.

This was a very quick and easy replacement and I used it to replace a compression valve that would not close fully. The fact that it was specifically designed to replace a toilet shut-off valve made it very appealing to me. It also had a factory-installed braided stainless steel hose that connected directly to the toilet fill valve with a very neat click, and a feature that let you know when it was tight enough on the fitting. Top price and quality for a branded product! Highly recommended.

My rating is not 100% fair. probably. But do your research! If you buy this you may only need one valve. not the whole piece. The valve is only a few dollars at Home Depot and saves you time and effort! Likewise. Turns out the hose wasn't rubber like in the video, so a waste of money. We didn't return it as we are newbies and tried to use it. Spirit. So my advice. check your pipes. see what you work with.
