They work TOO well!

I needed a second one because . Stuff (actually it's a 20ft run outside which I grossly underestimated lol and that's why I needed a little bridge to the waterline). Was a good price, the part worked great. No leaks. I have now attached 3 shark bibs to the outside and they are great too and 1 valve inside. All shark bite remedies work so well for people like me who have never done plumbing before. Adding a small amount of silicone lube to whatever I wear the shark fitting on also makes a huge…

Save your propane gas for your camping stove.

I've been using them for a few years now and love them. Never had an outage. I don't like soldering anymore. (I moved into a 1956 house in 1973 when all the copper started leaking). Soldering is nowhere near as clean or as fast as using SharkBite fittings. They are amazing! There are places where it's almost impossible to get to an area that needs renovation, let alone use a propane light. Yes, SharkBite fittings cost more money, but the time savings (and fire risk elimination) are worth it…

Love these connectors

This is my sixth shark bite purchase. They are cool. However, they are overpriced. But that's the best price I've found compared to the big stores. This is very easy. But buy a small parting tool for a few bucks. Plumbers hate shark bite products. And I understand why, because for a simple connection of copper pipes or pex they are not needed. All you need is a small $10 pipe cutter, a black marker, a tape measure and a $5 pipe reamer instead of paying a plumber over $200 to solder a pipe…

The best alternative in many situations.

An expensive coupler, but it's so fast and allows you to mix and match different tube types so perfectly that it really isn't a problem. I had to connect old copper to new PEX in a very small hole and in an old building. All frames were dry and within an inch. While I could steam a copper pipe with a PEX fitting with the protection it needed, starting a fire in a hidden room wasn't worth the risk. With this fixture I was able to eliminate torches, solder, flux, radiator putty and flame…

Fantastic option for small pipe damage repairs

First off I have to say I'm not the smartest person in the world. I've made many small general repairs to my home over the years, but plumbing problems have always been daunting. Unfortunately a few months ago one of my plastic pipes under the house leading to the kitchen sink was gnawed by an animal that managed to get there. After investigating the problem, I tried a few repairs that didn't work. Researching online what other options I have, I came across many repair sites raving about…

A real game changer!

I haven't worked with plumbers until recently. I have conducted several successful experiments with shark bite remedies in my 1955 home. It's surprisingly easy to use and economical. You can use it on copper or PEX or bond them together. You can also use it to connect straight pipe to a threaded fitting. You can also get shark bites on and off the valves. I recommend you check the prices. They vary greatly from site to site and store to store. I also highly recommend if you are new to using…
