A real game changer!

I haven't worked with plumbers until recently. I have conducted several successful experiments with shark bite remedies in my 1955 home. It's surprisingly easy to use and economical. You can use it on copper or PEX or bond them together. You can also use it to connect straight pipe to a threaded fitting. You can also get shark bites on and off the valves. I recommend you check the prices. They vary greatly from site to site and store to store. I also highly recommend if you are new to using this product and/or installing it, go on YouTube and watch some videos related to your project. There are countless videos for professionals and amateurs. Trust me, you will feel a lot more confident after watching one or more of these videos. According to research, the Sharkbite product is holding up well and the few that didn't work are probably due to burrs. To deburr a tube, use a deburrer on the end of each tube, or use sandpaper or a nail file to sand until the end is smooth. The shark bite must also be inserted at the right depth. The video shows you how to do this simple step. You can also include a shut-off valve, which may come in handy in similar locations in the future. Pex is said to be superior to copper. I found pex to be very cheap, easy to use, and useful for patches. There are different types of Pex. Pex A and Pex B are what you usually see available. Pex A is more flexible and stretchable and more frost resistant. You should use this if you live in a cold climate. It's also easier to use for smaller areas, e.g. B. a few meters or less. Haven't seen Pex A for sale on Revain but I've seen it in local stores and on ebay. Pex B is stiffer and harder to bend or stretch, but warming up helps. If using Pex make sure you use the correct type, especially around water heaters. Hope that helps! Good luck with the project!
