Sharpener is excellent, very sharp ends. And I like the lid. But plastic breaks easily.

As for the sharpener itself, I was completely impressed. It makes a very sharp point, much sharper than average. If the cable breaks, it's easy to pull out. Flip lids are good too. They keep the chips inside instead of letting them fall back through the sharpener. The razor compartment is small, but it's a good compromise (larger razor compartments make the sharpener bulkier and less portable). The only complaint is that the plastic on the rims ripped right away. It's not impacting performance…

Just what I needed

I like to work with colored pencils when drawing in my travel journal. When I started I could never find a pencil sharpener when I needed it. So I cleaned out a few drawers and found some old pencil sharpeners that I used for lip and eyebrow pencils. I quickly realized why I use make-up sticks so often. After 20 or more cycles in the dishwasher, I still have makeup on my fingers from the old sharpeners. I've seen them and noticed that the leftovers are left in the little cups. This will…

I don't understand

I don't understand all the good reviews. 1. Container was not sealed with tape. Normally I don't really care. But when does a product fail? Either I received a used set, a damaged set, an old set, or people just mistreated them. Then there's the fact that they basically don't grind any shit. And I say "mostly" because the big holes on the 2 sharpeners I tried were the only part that got sharpened. And that's ONLY if you hold it a certain way and hold your pen a certain way. Uff - NO!
