SHASH Marble Shaving Bowl Grey Review

I wanted a shaving bowl that would retain heat for a more comfortable shave. I originally had my eye on Supply's marble shaving bowl, but wanted something more striking than the boring old white. Then I came across a shasha bowl made of gray marble. The photos of the bowl they provided were certainly attractive, but what sealed the deal for me was the $17 price tag. This bowl is of very good quality. but it is better not to drop it, otherwise something will break. like your vanity. The grooves on the inside of the bowl can be foamed very well, but the inner diameter of the bowl is too small. The brush handle constantly hits the edge of the bowl and doesn't allow for very good foam movement. I prefer the 26mm brush but I need to switch to 24 to get some work done. Unfortunately I'm looking for something bigger.

Very good shaving bowl. Pretty hard. I can't tell if the bowl is one solid piece or two pieces "fused" together. Both shells have a small tear (does not affect shell integrity). These "cracks" could be where they fused the pieces together. It doesn't look like it's going to fall apart. As one reviewer said, it's a bit tight if you're using a 26mm or larger brush. I've tried several shaving bowls and this one keeps you warm. It is quite heavy and thick as it is marble. Inside there are ribs that shake the shaving cream and create a comfortable foam. But the best part is how long it stays warm. I pour cold water into a bowl and heat it in the microwave for 1:30 minutes. Then I soak the brush to keep it warm. Very nice, sharp shell. They can make good foam and the price ($11) will be right. A word of caution, this is probably good/bad news. That is hard. This is no flimsy chic bowl for a boy. This is a man's bowl. Just know it happens. If I had to again, I COULD order a slightly lighter one, but a man can only order so many shaving bowls in his lifetime. At a certain point it becomes overdone.

I would give this rating 4 stars, but I was able to fix the error. The bottom of the bowl was too rough and some of my badger hair broke in half. I used a very coarse sandpaper, then 240, and then finished it off with 400. Now it feels smooth but still has some of those mil lines which I think help the cream to be beaten.
