Garbage! Low quality!

They look like the company took the bad rods and turned them into reels. They are unfinished, poorly made and not worth using. If I could put negative stars I would.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Working speed

Disappointing in material handling

I really didn't expect them to be as bad as some of the photos in other reviews but unfortunately they are quite a waste of money. Deteriorated surprisingly because it was sealed in a plastic bag, now I know better

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Slightly dented

They don't roll on the casters

These wheels don't roll. The wooden part of the wheel does not turn very easily. And one keeps falling out. If you just want them to look a certain way but not be functional, then they're fine. But I need them to really function. I saved them and they're in the chair, but I think I'll look for the ones that really roll.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Easy to install: stem rollers

Easy to install. The wheels splintered and had to be sanded down, but they still looked rough afterwards. They also don't roll as easily and creak. However, there isn't another similar product I can find anywhere, including hardware stores, so I'd probably buy it again and give it four stars for it, otherwise it would get three.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Very expensive

em. You will not roll.

Sooo nice but not rolling. Since this is their only goal, they get 1 star. We put them on a tiny rolling island in our kitchen. It's very light and the bottom is laminated so rolling shouldn't be a problem. They are not painted over like in the picture - raw wood. I'm pretty sure they were modeled after the first wheel invented by the cavemen. They're not even perfectly round. ? TERRIBLE.

Pros
  • Industrial and scientific
Cons
  • Expensive

Fits perfectly! in stock casters

Perfect for my 65 year old dresser. I liked the wooden wheels. Exact match to the original "plastic" wheels. I didn't use the stem cover that came with the wheels, just slipped the stem into the included cover. The wheels don't fit exactly but this is my choice as I decided to use the existing case as my dresser doesn't move. But love the look! One day I will exchange my native caps for new ones. Thanks very much!

Pros
  • casters
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Perfect replacement

We have an (almost) antique dining table. I say almost because my wife completely renovated it. It more or less fell out of the "antiques" category. Now it's just a very old table that looks brand new. One thing is still "old". This is a 6 leg table on wheels. Not easy to find these days. When the original old wooden wheels broke I got these new "old" ones from Sheppard. They look almost exactly like the originals. The table is full again. Good buy. Five stars.

Pros
  • Castors
Cons
  • Only available in black
