After reading other reviews to apply it with minimal effort I smeared a drop of oil on the handle while the lid was in a cup of hot water. I lightly pulled the bottom hole on the shifter. I then ordered two more in case I can't find them online in the future.

This was the best money I have ever spent! My camp button was stupid hot or cold. Couldn't move because it was slippery. I bought another one when this one wore out. It's a little difficult to put on, but once it's on it fits like a glove. No slip, no turn. And small bumps ensure excellent grip. I really love this shop!

I love this case! I needed something easy to clean so this was perfect. However, I would have preferred a variant without handles. I'm a Germaohobe so I wipe this thing down all the time and my last lid broke because the handles weren't that strong. But other than that it was easy to install and seems to work for any switch size.

I wanted a red button. Easy to put on, good support. Make sure the pen cover does not have a button hole. I thought I could use the button under the cover. That's a big NO. I cut a hole in the lid. It worked, but a bad idea. It is slowly being torn apart and will soon become unusable. Well, I like the feeling of hiding. Good stop. Might be cheaper. It's just a piece of rubber. I recommend this if your stick doesn't have a button on the handle.

I bought this because my shift knob (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004G7UMQK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) in the summer heat from top to bottom very gets hot . Fits good. Installation was easy, just roll up the bottom of the case and quickly slide it over the handle. It sits firmly enough on my shift knob not to slip. At the moment the parts feel good and seem to help with sweaty hands. And most importantly, I'm not playing hot potatoes with the shifter anymore.

I purchased this product for my manual Jeep Renegade and it has worked fantastic. My shift knob is aluminum, so it often slips off the knob when shifting to first, third, or fifth hand.
