Replacing the drain when cycling

Ordered these to replace my old squeaky pads. I haven't put many miles on them but they seem a lot softer than my previous ones. It probably just needs adjustments, but at least the noise is gone.

Pros
  • brakes
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Much better than the pads installed in the bike shop

Brakes no longer squeak! I don't know why I had the bike shop put in new pads when I upgraded my wheels, but they installed some horrible squeaky pads. I've always used these and they work great with good stopping power and no squeaks.

Pros
  • Sport
Cons
  • Negative impression

No more squeaking! for sport

I had a big problem with disc squeaking when using Shimano metal pads. I've tried cleaning/lightly rubbing the rotors and pads with steel wool, applying anti-squeak compound, etc. to no avail. As a last resort, I tried these resin pads and voila, no more squeaks! The T-back has a nice feel, but the main thing is that the resin pad offers great feel, modulation and wear without squeaking! They are used with an XT caliper and an XTR ICE 160mm rotor.

Pros
  • Bike brakes and parts
Cons
  • Having problems

Shamano XTR Resin pads

Brake pads arrived on time and in good condition. I chose polymer disc pads because they wear out quicker than medal pads but are weaker. I've always had a problem with squealing medals. The only thing is they actually sent XT pads and not XTR bads. I've bought XTR pads before and they come in a completely different package with XTR clearly marked. The pads I received are marked XT.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoor
Cons
  • Nothing here
