Good crank. in cranksets

Replaced the unnamed Suntour brand crank that came with my bikesdirect bike. I can't say anything about the weight and honestly I don't care. The heavier the better.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Shinano quality and affordability. Thanks

I get a lot more top speeds with this 50 tooth sprocket than I did with the original 42 tooth sprocket on my Cannondale M300. And it looks a lot better. Easy installation with basic job tools purchased from Revain. If required, the recommended Shimano UN300 103mm square taper bottom bracket on the Shimano website page for Tourney A073 7/8 Speed Triple 30tx39tx50t crankset

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Great crankset for sport

I bought these to increase the sprocket set from 24-34-42. I also wanted to increase the resistance for a better workout and increase my speed. It was a simple setup. I had to make a few minor modifications to my bike and buy a new chain to accommodate the large chainrings. It took me a couple of weeks to get used to the new cranks after installation and tuning, but now my average pace has improved a lot. I went in from 4 min. The pace was reduced from 39 sec/mile to 4 min/mile.

Great replacement for my trike - helps me uphill

Purchased to replace the crank on my old Terra Trike Path. My original crankset was a 1 tooth, 46 tooth cog and it didn't give me a gear low enough to climb some of the hills near my house. I experimented a bit with the 53/39 crank and it wasn't low enough either. The 50/39/30 gives me a gear low enough to get uphill. My total notched inch range is now 15.5 to 85 inches. It seems to be working fine for me so far.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Easily repairable

At the moment (less than 500 miles) and this crankset lives up to my expectations. The quality and finish is above average and given the very small range of 30x39x50 square BB tees this seems a decent value given the price. I cleaned and reamed the cranks thoroughly prior to installation, which makes cleaning easier after riding in the mud/gravel. The kit includes plastic plugs to cover the crank bolts, but the plug holes are tapped and fit standard crank bolt caps.
