.see my video is above. Fibrous things like celery or ginger will bind if the pieces are too long because the vertical fold is too tight. These things should be cut shorter than the bend. I get extra juice out of everything by adding some water and omitting the pulp a second time. Works amazing! Apple lemonade is my favorite at the moment. I feel it cleans my liver. See how it's done in my video above: 3 apples, 1 whole lemon, 1 glass of water added to the pulp for the second pass, and 1…

wow wow wow in Small Appliances

I have purchased several quality juicers over the past 25 years and I had a specific purpose in mind when I purchased this one. I was traveling to another country and didn't want to part with my juicer, so my quest was for a slow vertical juicer (very important) that is compact and light enough to carry in my carry-on, yet powerful enough to fulfill the standards of a full-size juicer. This one did not disappoint! In fact, I now have this juicer on my desk and use it daily, much more often than

Spend extra money on a juicer. It's not worth it.

When I first used the juicer I thought it was great. I make Dan the Man green juice that fills about 3/4 of a pitcher. The juicer worked well the first two, maybe three times. Now I've used it maybe 8 times and it cuts out in the middle (it takes me about 15-18 minutes to get the juice once everything is sliced). I guess it's getting too hot. So this part sucks. The last 5 times I've used it the juicer parts got stuck and it was freaking hard to get it apart. I just squeezed the juice and he…

Where has it been all my life?

My daughter loves freshly squeezed orange juice and squeezing 8 pounds of oranges once a week took too long. So I researched many juicers in every price range. I chose it because it seemed very profitable to me. I couldn't imagine spending $300-$600 on a juicer! I also like the small size, it fits under my closets and doesn't take up too much space. When I received it I had an 8 pound bag of oranges ready so I started peeling! I ran through the entire Β£8 bag pretty quickly. I used the same jug…

Great little juicer, reasonable price, works very well, easy to use

The Shine juicer is a great little juicer at a reasonable price compared to most quality slow action juicers. I really like that it's small and doesn't take up much space. It fits under my cupboards when assembled - compare the footprint to a horizontal juicer. See photos. As this is an upright juicer, it is very easy to put veggies and fruit in the chute as the auger pulls everything in. I rarely had to use the pusher that came with it. At the same time, many things should be cut quite finely.
