Neat saddle square.

Distance markers appear precise and edges are smooth. The problem with this square is that the edges don't meet at 90 degrees. A square is not a square.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons

Not square. Some in Carpentry Squares

Not very square to be square. To be sure, I tested it against my Pat Warner and two others. Because of this, it has a slight rockiness to it. Maybe it's just what I ordered, but it's definitely not square.

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall
Cons
  • Clarity

Makes your job easier

Excellent product. Ideally 90Β° and ideally 45Β°. Quality finishes and accurate markings make it a pleasure to use. Made in Japan! I had a Chinese equivalent and the angles weren't perfect so you can find it in the scrap metal bin now.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good quality! for carpenter's square

Very nice saddle square! Solid details, no rough edges with burrs or other shimmering deposits, high-contrast black screenprint on light aluminum, easy to read. The length is handy for extended lines---the best inexpensive marking tool you could ask for!

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Fading color

When I'm in the store it's in my bag, I don't know how I managed without it. It fits perfectly in the hand and handles 90 and 45 degree markings perfectly. It looks cool and when you hold it in your hands you can see and feel the quality with which it was made.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Straight and square as it could be.

Could have been better. Some remaining ridges. Wish the numbers were engraved unfortunately screen printed. Perfect for transferring measurements to other pages. Arrived square within the specified tolerance of 0.02mm. Even if you're looking for an inch ruler and can't read, let alone look at a damn picture, you're leaving your bad marks in your little brain. We don't need you to falsify the reviews of a perfectly good, high-tolerance measuring and marking device.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Quality and comfort

How many times have you tried to connect a line from one side of a wooden plank to the other just to guess or try a square? This tool takes the guesswork out of the equation and simplifies the transition from one dimension to the next. I didn't think I needed it until I got one on several woodworking YouTube channels and whenever I need it I'm grateful I bought it. It has its limitations due to its size and 45 degree side, but once you get a decent pass you can reach your square to finish the…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
