Too large! (and no free returns)

I have two horses, a tall boy 16.2. Bought"full" think it would be appropriate. He was huge. Looks like a giant draft. Or maybe more. My other horse is smaller so obviously she was too big too. The quality was good but the sizes were misleading. I bought a piston size from another seller. It's still big, but it's great for 16.2 horsepower. I returned both from the original purchase. Non-Durable Mask - Seam Tears at Eye Crease

This mask is good in every way except one; after 7 weeks of wearing the tip of the dart just above the eye started to open and flies could enter the mask. The fine web itself is strong; it's in the seam. The mask perfectly withstands pouring and hand washing in the rest of the world. If Shires could use a little more material and reinforce the stitching in that area, this mask would be perfect. Otherwise it stays in place and the binding stays in contact with the horse's head withoutโ€ฆ

Cons
  • So Far So Good

**Edit: Still works great after a week of wearing. Great quality and great fit. I only got it this morning but he's worn it all day without rubbing or trying to take it off so seems more comfortable. Surprisingly, it's still clean and not torn. I put a new mask on him last week (a different brand but not cheap) and by the second day it was practically destroyed as he rubbed it against the trees, the fence, the ground. This Shires mask has soft padding around the nose and bangs, while the strapโ€ฆ
