Review on πŸ‘οΈ Full Teal Shires Fine Mesh Fly Mask without Ears by Melvin Goerge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality and fit. Comfortable for the horse. Higher UV radiation.

**Edit: Still works great after a week of wearing. Great quality and great fit. I only got it this morning but he's worn it all day without rubbing or trying to take it off so seems more comfortable. Surprisingly, it's still clean and not torn. I put a new mask on him last week (a different brand but not cheap) and by the second day it was practically destroyed as he rubbed it against the trees, the fence, the ground. This Shires mask has soft padding around the nose and bangs, while the strap behind the ears is soft yet very durable. The mesh part is thicker but you can still see through it clearly. It's wider at the eyes of the darts and a more textured rim keeps the net and darts out of his eyes. I like this because I had to adjust most other masks several times a day as the thinner and more flexible mesh wrinkled and rubbed near the eyes. In terms of sizing, I received the FULL size and it fits my Haflinger gelding perfectly. If it helps anyone with sizing, my boy measures 37 inches from the neck to behind the ears, 27 1/2 inches around the area about halfway between the bangs and the tip of the nose. Size Full fits just right. Can't comment on durability as it's new but so far I'm very impressed with the quality and much better comfort for my horse. I'm buying a spare plus one for my other horse. The UV protection is 70% which is one of the main reasons I tried this mask. This boy has eye problems and needs UV protection in addition to fly repellent. I hope this review helps someone.
