Description of Shoei CWR-F Shield With Tear-Off Posts (HI-VIZ Yellow)

The X-Fourteen's CWR-F race shield provides a vast field of vision that today's top racers demand. In addition to protecting against 99% of the sun's damaging UV rays, the CWR-F shield offers a distortion-free view throughout the entire range thanks to SHOEI's 3D injection-molding process. Additionally, innovative ribs on the top and bottom edge of the shield improve rigidity and eliminate the bending effect that may occur from wind pressure during high-speed riding, and the all-new double shield locking mechanism prevents potential unwante. The CWR-F race shield also features SHOEI's exclusive, patent-pending Vortex Generators, which effectively reduce air friction and improve airflow around the helmet's surface. CWR-F race shields provide a flat surface to accommodate racing tear-offs, and the newly designed tear-off posts allow for tension to be adjusted without tools for a quick and easy installation.

Helmet accessory form and function

This should be if you have a Shoei X14. I personally like the dark smoke screen as it makes driving more comfortable on sunny days when the sun isn't blinding. This version includes tear-off posts like the standard version. I would also recommend the EVO Pinlock insert as it helps a lot in keeping the visor clean.

Pros
  • In addition, innovative ribs on the top and bottom edges of the visor increase rigidity and eliminate the flexing effect that wind pressure can cause at high speeds, and an all-new double visor latch prevents this unwanted
Cons
  • All ok
