Description of Shoei Neotec II Helmet (X-Small) (Light Silver)

SHOEI NEOTEC II - Experience the Versatility. When SHOEI first introduced the NEOTEC in 2011, riders worldwide realized not all modular helmets were created equal. With its lightweight, highly-aerodynamic shell, advanced noise reduction, and optimal vision protection, all combined with an ease of use (critical to a modular helmet), SHOEI had indeed achieved new heights in head gear design. But that was just the beginning. Now, with the NEOTEC II, SHOEI has not only improved on already outstanding features, but also introduced design advances to bring their premiere modular design into a whole new era.

Nice paintwork, sooo comfortable, great ventilation and I'm a happy person!

This is my second Neotec and the insurance company confiscated the first one after the accident and destroyed the first one. quality, quality, quality. I wonder what kind of helmet rich guys wear. I have a slightly oval head and the Neotec 2 fits me perfectly. I typically drive 500-600 miles a day on a long trip and Neotec was never the reason he stopped doing that. There is no such thing as a silent helmet in my opinion, but I find it quieter and more comfortable than the C4 Shuberth. I…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Improvement over Neotec

Great helmet overall. I have had Neotec for 6 years. It expired so I switched to Neotec 2. It seems easier, but it isn't. It sounds quieter, but there's still pronounced wind noise, especially at highway speeds. I was hoping I could give up my earplugs. Not yet. Maybe when Neotec 3 comes out Intercom integration works very well, but Sena systems make an annoying and frequent loud click when connected to 3 or more other systems. Sena has known about this for years, but hasn't fixed the problem…

  • Handy item

Fantastic helmet! on Motorcycle & Powersports

Overall this is an amazing helmet. Of course, I made my purchase in November in western Michigan, so it's a bit difficult to judge the ventilation, but I've ridden it open-top and I can say it's better than my Shoei GT Air. I wear a size large and it fits great! I have another modular helmet from another manufacturer and the Neotec II is more comfortable and quieter than this one. The appearance of metallic anthracite is beautiful. This is the first helmet I've owned without D-rings and I have…

Very good but not perfect helmet

Just bought this helmet and took it with me on my first ride. This is the third Shoei I own (RF-1100 and GT-Air) and definitely the best. Outstanding aerodynamics. There's no tremor at high speeds, whether I'm looking straight ahead or turning 90 degrees. Modularity is a real advantage. I can put on the helmet, raise the front and have a full view to finish dressing. Compared to my GT-Air I'm not sure if the Neotec 2 is significantly quieter (hence 4 stars and not 5). I can hear wind noise…

Pros
  • High marks for fit and durability from testers
Cons
  • Everything great

Expected more from a $700 helmet

On the plus side it's a nice helmet, it's fairly quiet and comfortable out of the shield. The chin trigger could be better hidden, but at least it's easy to reach with gloves. I have no idea what "thickness" we should rate? Replacement shields are expensive, and the more appealing chromatic are hard to go beyond the direct Shoei. Worst of all, the shield bars are very weak. You cannot drive with the shield open, at speeds over 50 km/h the shield will close due to the wind force. The ventilation

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • I vaguely remember

Chin strap that chokes.

I have been using Shoei Neotec since 2015 and quickly returned this new version after trying it on. This may not be the case for others, but the new chin strap doesn't work for me at all. With the helmet on and buckled, the large, bulky buckle digs into my Adam's apple every time I tilt my head down, causing a choking sensation and gag reflex. In addition, the helmet proved to be very comfortable. However, this is a cause for immediate concern. I wouldn't want to ride my bikes and feel so…

  • Easy to use

  • Disappears

This helmet defines "premium "

I was hesitant to buy this helmet - spending that much money on a helmet was never in my budget. But the older I get, the more valuable my head becomes :) I felt it was time to protect it after realizing my mortality. I bought this helmet and wore it for 15 minutes on day 1, 30 minutes on day 2 and 7 hours on day 3. It was great! I rode 210 miles through Rocky Mountain National Park on a loop near my home here in Colorado. The helmet has been the new love of my life since my very first ride. I…
