Male thread seems longer than pictured, hand tightened on spray head with no leaks and a turn or so, inner hand tightened on hose too with no problems. Easy to use with a smooth slide button, the trickle function reminds you to turn off the water at the valve, there are no leaks and the water pressure seems the same. Looks well made with heavy brass construction and chrome finish.

I needed something for the hand held shower to make it easier to switch the water flow with the hand held shower. I put it between the hand shower and the hose. and it definitely did the job perfectly. In addition, the valve open/close button was very easy to push in any direction. I've seen other options (mostly layers) and this "button" approach is much more practical. Worked great!

Allows flow rate control of any 1/2 inch shower head or hand held shower. I think it's best to use a hand held shower when slowing the flow down to a "trickle" to save water or control the pressure for comfort. My shower valve is old and doesn't mix well. This check valve lets some water through, which isn't a big problem. The main problem is that when you use the slider to get the flow back to full, the water is no longer warm. It's all cold water for a while.
