    We put them in boiling water because our hair dryer didn't get hot! It worked great and made our homemade port for Christmas very professional!

    I tried them on a screw top wine bottle and they worked fine. I use the quick dip method in boiling water. Gives the bottle a nice finished look. Five stars.

    Dissatisfied. First they had to come up with a detailed .

    I don't like it. First they had to come up with detailed instructions. I've gone through many of them and still haven't come to a consistent technique. Secondly, they are not suitable for 1.5 liter bottles.

    Very good for capping wine bottles. There weren't any problems at all. I used the method others have described, submerging it in boiling water for just a few seconds. I held the seal with a metal spoon as I dipped it into the boiling water.

    Just pour hot water over the sink

    Ideal for cruises when you need to drink some alcohol. Do not immerse them in hot water. Simply boil water in a small saucepan or saucepan, then slowly pour over the wine bottle over the sink. Works great, looks clean and like the original bottle of wine.

    These lids definitely did what we needed (to cap wine bottles for a cruise) although we struggled to compress them smoothly. All of our bottles had noticeable creases after being exposed to hot water/drying. But they all looked good and did their job! I think we just need a bit more trial and error to get the perfect result.

    Did the trick perfectly!

    I bought these to seal wine for a cruise and they worked perfectly! I read that some people used a hair dryer to seal and I had negative reviews so I used boiling water and it was very easy and I got it perfect on the first try. Simply bring the water to a boil, remove from the heat and slowly submerge until covered and cooked through.
