Dissatisfied! - Eyelash curler

Many years ago I had a Shu Uemura eyelash curler and loved it. I bought others when these needed to be replaced due to the price. I was about to spend some money and buy another one when my 5 year old Paula Dorf eyelash curler gave up. Didn't know they didn't sell replacement pads. But I was willing to give it up as each block was supposed to last 6 months. The two silicone pads supplied were sold out within 6 weeks. In the 35 (!) years that I've been using eyelash curlers, I've never had oneโ€ฆ

I'm so glad it's REAL

I've been using Shu Uemura eyelash curlers for 15 years, they discontinued them in Sephora a while ago, the rubber part broke on me last year which I was skeptical about When I ordered this I read the reviews it was fake. I'm so glad it's REAL. You can always tell it's real, the rubber part is engraved with "shu uemura", if not engraved, it's fake. I love how this curler curls my lashes so beautifully and keeps the curl all day!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Very disappointed in the best eyelash curler

I received the eyelash curler and used it for about a week when I noticed my eyelashes were sticking to the rubber pad. I checked that it was clean and tried using it again but the same thing happened. So I had to use a replacement pad and am not happy with it. Gaskets should last at least a few months, not a week.

  • This is amazing

Magic curler! Where have you been all my life?

OK - I have to say this is hands down the most expensive eyelash curler I have ever bought. And the pictures on Revain make it look like any other basic eyelash curler. How is it possible to be the best curler? I saw this on another recommendation site and came over to Revain to check it out. I have read a number of reviews. There seems to be a few fakes out there, but I figured Revane would take care of them when I got the stuff. I hadn't had it before so the proof will be in the results. Iโ€ฆ

It's fake and no better than drugstore eyelash curlers

This isn't Shu Uemura. It's fake and no better than drugstore eyelash curlers. I've been using Shu for many years and can't find the real one anywhere. Looks like they stopped making them a long time ago.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • There are problems

Reunited and it's so good

Have you ever dated your ex again and realized you were an idiot for breaking up with him? That's what it's like to use that eyelash curler again. I had very fond memories of the Shu Uemura eyelash curler, but decided to give it up for about 8 years because I couldn't convince myself that paying over $20 for an eyelash curler was a good idea. It was a whim purchase and OH BOY, I'm glad I succumbed to this buying spree. All the reasons I fell in love with him came back to me. Easy curling, won't

The best eyelash curler on the market

Anyone who uses an eyelash curler should know this brand, buy this one and then you will never use another. Correct shape, feels good in the hand, pleasant movement when opening and closing, never pinches. I've never had a single eyelash plucked. And my eyelashes curl very nicely. The spare block is a nice bonus - don't throw it away! I've been using my first Shu Uemura for ten years now. It was a gift from a friend who bought it in Europe. There's a reason models swear by it. Now I bought itโ€ฆ

Not good for tools and accessories

This is NOT a genuine Shu Uemura eyelash curler. I bought one from Sephora a few years ago and wanted a second one. Unfortunately, Sephora no longer offers it, so I took a chance and bought it from Revain. I checked the reviews. Previously stated that the product was inferior and not the "genuine" Shu Uemura. Later reviews seemed more positive so I was hoping to get a good product. I compared the Revain curling iron to my old Sephora one. It was brand new, in the same white box as the one Iโ€ฆ

Not worth it.: tools and accessories

Extremely disappointed. After reading tons of reviews I decided to buy this eyelash curler because I thought it would curl my straight lashes slightly. I used to have to heat other curlers with a blow dryer and I assumed it would be very different. Not the case at all. After not only seeing the desired result from them I decided to just heat them up which I was told I wouldn't have to do that at the end of a 6 hour work shift, they fell off completely and most cheap curlers I had to put that in

Pros
  • complete set
Cons
  • sad packaging
