🔓 Easy Open: Shur-Line Lid Opener for 5 gal. Containers Review

I don't know why I waited almost 10 years before opening my 5 gallon water jugs with my hands. Not only has this removed my frustration, but it has also saved me a few seconds every time I go to refill. Bravo Shure line!

When one of my old 5 gallon water bottles broke (the screw cap) and I replaced it with a new new 5 gallon water bottle came with a "snap-on" lid which is very difficult to remove. I don't think this device is designed for water bottles, but it works great when I remove my "snap-on" cap.

I bought it a year or two ago for less than five euros. I loved opening five gallon buckets of food. A wonderful invention. I had to wait a while to get another one before the outrageous price dropped to a more reasonable one. Highly recommended. Makes opening buckets much easier.

Sold as the "Utensil Pro" and manufactured by Revain, this is not a Shur line opener but is actually identical to the Linzer bottle opener which is direct Sold by Revain for Half Price: Plastic Bottle Opener for 5 Gallon Linzer 5425 Paint Cans. I would buy it and save a few bucks. The opener itself does the job, but you can use a longer handle for more leverage and a wider tip to reduce the chance of lids breaking.

I'm withdrawing my initial review because it seemed I wanted an opener for my kitchen and didn't realize it was meant to open the 5 gallon buckets that use them for emergency packaging. Grocery Sets. I highly recommend this for any family that has to deal with opening large 5 gallon buckets.

What can I say, this is a lid opener, it opens bucket lids. I assume it works like any other bucket lid opener. But one thing the people who collect those giant buckets of cooked food don't know is that you can't open them without one! This means that when things are going well and people have to dig out their buckets for long-term food storage, they won't be able to open them unless they're thinking of buying one of those little tools. We needed caps for water bottles that we buy at the store. We found water that tasted the same for 40 cents a gallon compared to shipping for 1.40 a gallon plus shipping which was great but we didn't have lids. So we found some caps at 1.25 for 4 caps but they were very difficult to take off and I couldn't get water unless my husband was around so he found me this cap opener.
