Best mic for podcasting and storytelling

This is now my favorite mic (I have over 20). I like the rich sound of the voice, the beautiful looks and the sound quality. it is built in. The software works great for IOS iPad. No additional software is required for the Mac desktop. FYI, for podcasts and storytelling, I prefer flat mode (rather than voice mode) in Auray ISO-ARMOR-2. tight fit but works well as long as you keep the Shure close to the windshield, moving it too far into the cage will lose mids.

Pros
  • Includes standard 5/8" thread to attach to any mic stand
Cons

I like it! - Computer accessories and peripherals

I'd say a good mount helps. Probably not only do they wish/hope they upgrade to USB-C, but this is a solid mic! Still being tested but not prone to plosives and has a natural REAL sound. (What this means to some may vary, but I usually don't flinch when I hear my records.) Nothing too low or too high. And I was really surprised how low the noise level is. (as in absent) Let's continue testing. no problems so far. He looks like a goalkeeper! O. Mac and Win10. Both greet with no problem and all…

Pros
  • Built-in rear stand ensures optimal positioning on any desk

Perfect. worth the price. definitely.

Very easy to use, plug and play. works great with Logic Pro and Garage Band. Excellent sensitivity and frequency response for my ears. picks up ambient noise very easily, so you can lower the gain and still get a good pickup of the sound you want. works in both mono and stereo, although I didn't find stereo much different (image separation doesn't seem that noticeable), but maybe I just need to apply it differently (two sources on different sides of the midplane?). In any case, this was a huge…

  • Built-in headphone output for real-time monitoring

Bad for video conferencing; Many problems with Micro-USB

Even a slight movement of the microphone (or the scissors it is attached to) causes the microphone Change USB cable and thus terminate the running process for which the microphone is used, for example video conferencing. For high-stakes communications, the mic is too unreliable to recommend. Also (at least when used with a Mac) the sound/speech quality of your conversation partners is significantly worse if you use Shure as an external microphone. I've tried Webex, Zoom, FaceTime, and Skype—and

Pros
  • 5 preset DSP modes (Speech, Singing, Flat, Acoustic Instrument, Loud)
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Compare with Blue Spark Digital Lightning for singers.

I purchased this item as an iOS portable condenser device for on the go as transporting my Blue Spark Digital Lightning from place to place was a real drag. On paper it should be a great product with bigger capsule, improved DSP etc. This device is mainly used for vocal recording. It has excellent build quality, intuitive touch controls, and a very comfortable stand. This device is designed for long-term operation and can withstand light loads. However, the recording quality is not acceptable…

Pros
  • Automatically adjusts gain, EQ, compression and clipping for optimal results.
Cons
  • Very expensive.

Totally in love with this microphone.

Being a fairly new streamer, I was encouraged by a friend to create game content with a certain company and chose this mic as my "entry mic". to the next level, let's call it 'Sweati' lol I wasn't happy with the move in that direction, instead I remembered being a trainee at a radio station in high school and encountering high-end audio gear. What brought me to Shure I've always liked the Super 55, but since I don't want to play with an XLR and a mixer, and might need a cloud lighter etc., I…

Pros
  • Apple MFi (Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad) Certified to connect directly to any iOS device without the need for additional adapters or connectivity kits.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Preferably. Microphone Always. Background noise removal tips.

I work from home and do a lot of calling and web conferencing using Skype, GoToMeeting, WebEx and Zoom. I also do a lot of web presentations using PowerPoint and software. I'm probably not a regular user of this mic as I need a really great conferencing setup. My Bluetooth and USB headsets annoyed me with voice quality. Maybe I look like a streamer? I tested it by connecting it to my 2018 MacBook Pro and using QuickTime and Zoom to capture simple audio clips. As all the other reviewers say…
