The stand is pretty strong, but the cable is weak.

The Shure SM-57 is highly acclaimed as a microphone for everyday use. My first SM-57 still performs well year after year, so I decided on a different one to more fully reproduce the conga/bongo/manual percussion sound. The microphone is five, but the stand and cable are standard. The stand is pretty solid, but the cable is the main backup cable in case the best cable fails. But everyone said it was great value for money.

Singing workhorse

SM-57, det. I have half a dozen in my drum mic stall; one of them died inexplicably after 35 years, so I bought a new one. Repackaged, in box, with case, clip and sticker. The cable is suitable for a home environment like a stand, but definitely not suitable for a club (night set/teardown). The stand is very light, but has a non-telescopic boom, so there is always a long boom sticking out, which can be impractical in tight spaces. A perfectly worthy kit if it's intended for a lightweight home…

Wow! I'm glad I bought this microphone!

I have an Audio-Technica AT2035 and a Shure PG42. Both microphones are condenser microphones. This is the cheapest mic of them all, but I have to say that maybe I like it the most. They say this mic is for instruments, but I disagree. I'm a baritone and I find it captures the richness of my voice better than the other two. It has more emphasis on the mids while the other 2 are better at conveying the brightness of my voice. I actually like the SM57 more for my voice than my acoustic guitar. For

The microphone is excellent, the stand is terrible, the cable is ok.

Shure SM57 is great. Known for his instruments and singing. Good versatile microphone. I've been using Shure SM mics for decades. The included stand is pretty flimsy. Flabby and don't fit well. The lock nuts for the attachment points are made of plastic and have the wrong thread. Microphone clips are pretty cheap. The spring loaded universal broke in the box. Luckily, Shure has its own high-quality clip. The stand has small threads for attaching, but the clips come with threaded inserts that…

Great offer! A microphone clip was included with mine.

I have nothing to add to the product review. The Shure SM57 is a well known and loved icon and the one I received did not disappoint. I've been recording with it for a few hours now and I love it! The stand is solid and makes a well-made impression. It's perfect for my needs for miking guitar amps and vocals in the studio. It does what it's supposed to do and given the overall build quality I think it should last for years to come. The cable is good. Powerful with robust connections. I connect…
