This is the first book I read by Carl Hayasen and I was intrigued. It's a very light, entertaining, quick read with memorable characters and, most importantly, a satisfying ending. Usually the plots and feelings in such books are very mundane, and although much of the book is formulaic, Carl Hiaasen's writing emphasizes the narrative.
