Used for 1958 Evinride Fastwin 18HP The spring is twisted and secured with two ties and a metal tie covering the spring. It is rolled too far to fit directly into the body. Grasp the spring just below the inner loop, cut the ties and remove the protective metal ring. You can then pull on the end of the outer ring to stretch the spring a bit and wrap it around you a bit. I had no problem with that, but be aware that spring is under a lot of stress and it can be a tragic scene if you let it sink…
