Better than a well known brand at half price

This is the best lens I have ever used. I've been using DSLRs for almost 10 years now and this is the best lens I've ever used. The lens has an impressive range that almost eliminates the need to carry multiple lenses around unless you're trying to photograph something miles away. This lens also improved the image quality of my Nikon D5000, which was only 12MP. The autofocus is very quiet and more accurate than my Nikon 55-200mm lens. Below is a shot I took with a new lens on the Nikon D5000…

DO NOT BUY! in Camera & Photo

This item was purchased online in April 2019 and is registered with Sigma. In the summer, the autofocus gave me problems. I thought maybe I was expecting him to focus too quickly. In October it stopped working completely. I contacted Web Orders and was told that I had to work directly with Sigma as the return period had expired. That makes sense and I appreciate the speed of this answer. I contacted Sigma and they told me that Web Offers is not on the official dealer list and is sold on the…

  • You could choose a newer model

I received this lens just a few hours ago and tested it straight away. My first impressions were very good. The lens seemed sharp throughout the range. I've compared shots with it and two highly acclaimed zooms I already own: the Canon EFS 15-85 and the Canon EF 70-300L. Sure, Canon's two zooms were sharper, but not by much. I found the Sigma results to be quite acceptable. Strangely, unlike many other superzooms, the lens gets sharper at longer focal lengths. I wasn't expecting much anyway…

Good lenses from all angles

Build quality is normal. The zoom can be tight when the lenses are new. Zoom lock is also useful to prevent zoom creep when you hit your chest with the camera. your own. However, autofocusing in low light can lead to premature shots. Zoom range aside, acceptable distortion is one of the reasons these lenses are good for everyone. With such a wide zoom range, distortion is well controlled over most of the focal length and is only noticeable at the beginning of 18-20mm. The sharpness of the…

Great value for money, one of the best offers.

The lens is good precisely for its versatility. All other characteristics are subject to compromises, but at the same time they are pulled out to a solid four. The quality of the picture, of course, cannot be compared with the top fixes, but somewhere on a walk, when you don’t know in advance what interesting things will come across - an irreplaceable thing - you can shoot a landscape and a bird on a branch. He works for me as a staff member, most of all I shoot with him. I use with Canon EOS

Pros
  • Focal range, of course. Excellent stabilizer. Quite acceptable sharpness for a universal zoom. Compact size when folded, there is a latch. The front lens does not rotate. Blend included.
Cons
  • Inconvenient manual focus, no manual focus adjustment. Sometimes it misses, and in general the sharpness is not ideal. Aperture 6.3 at the far end.

Full compliance with the manufacturer's assurances, high quality.

I use it as a walker. I dragged it around abroad, actively exploited it, while the condition is very good. For indoors, it is dark, with a flash it is excellent. Very comfortable wide range of focal lengths. This is my 5 Sigma lens, all very high quality. Now he works with a carcass - 70d canon. There was a Sigma AF 18-250mm upgrade, I like this one better. Very convenient for travel. I plan to buy Sigma DG 30mm F / 1.4 .

Pros
  • 1 - Sharp on the whole range + - 2 - I really liked the appearance (the build quality is felt), the lid is tight and does not come off, the tight trunk does not creep out + the latch. 3 - Large range of focal lengths.
Cons
  • The price is expensive :-). Dark for rooms, you need a flash.

Fits the description completely, very satisfying.

Ideal for those who prefer outdoor activities and who do not have the time or desire to mess around with lenses. Particularly for me. With my Canon EOS 70D it quickly finds focus without yaw. I wouldn't say it's expensive. For that kind of money, you get a universal lens with which you can work in a wide thematic spectrum, and have it as a regular one. After that, it will not be difficult for you to decide on the specifics and buy the necessary equipment. There is no traditional branded case…

Pros
  • Sharp throughout the range. Silent. Large range of focal lengths. Smooth movement of the trunk. The presence of a latch trunk. Ideal for travel. Excellently assembled. Very high quality plastic.
Cons
  • Due to the short travel of the focusing ring, it is difficult to make accurate manual aiming. The impossibility of manual focusing without switching the slider to MF mode, which is very tight. The focusing ring is located on the far edge of the lens, and if the hood is put on with the reverse side, then it is difficult to get to it. Also, fingers can easily get into the frame.
