Heard so many good things about the 35mm lens

I've heard so many good things about the 35mm lens and was already a big fan of the Sigma 50mm. After this purchase I am happier!

The best lens I have, the best of all lenses

The best lens I have! Now I use this lens as my main lens for walking. The Sigma ART series is always sharp and clear, with incredibly fast and precise autofocus.

Doesn't work well on my Canon 6D. AT .

Doesn't work well on my Canon 6D. At f1.4-2.0, a solid black circle appears around the frame and sometimes a large halo in the center. I'm not sure how well this works on other full frame cameras.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

I must have taken 45 photos and it just pissed me off. Obviously the lens needed to be calibrated, which I don't have the tools for. I assume the lens works as advertised. I couldn't get it back fast enough. I only started photography 3 months ago and after learning about the lenses and how to use my camera properly I wanted to…

Lost the Sigma lottery

Very disappointed with this lens; After hearing so many raves, I saved up for it just to get [what I think/hope] a lemon. The product does not focus; it will hunt for a long time and then focus gently. It was sharp 1 out of 100 shots. For a wedding photographer, that was unacceptable to me. I've heard of "sigma lottery" meaning it's common and sometimes you have to buy a pair and return before you can get one with a sharp focus but I'm not willing to pay multiple shipping costs and such to…
