Works perfectly. fits camera lenses

This is a wonderful piece of technology. Just check where your lens fits in this list. Please understand that it is made specifically for Sigma lenses, not other companies' lenses. Don't expect this to work with your Nikon or Canon lens. If you have the right mount it will fit your Nikon or Canon, but the mount only applies to the bodies it works with, not the lenses it works with. In addition, the autofocus only works with the fastest Sigma lenses. Like I said, check the list so you know whatโ€ฆ

Great piece. worth buying.

This is a great example from Sigma, I tried it on my APO MACRO 150mm F2.8 EX DG HSM and CANON 20D body, the results were wonderful, the sharpness is not lost, it looks , as if it were part of the original lens, you can even sell your photos. What else? The only thing I didn't like is that with a 150mm macro lens, 1.4x APO teleconverter, the autofocus works between infinity and 0.52m, if the subject is closer than 0.52m, only MF is available, also a similar case with Macro 180mm, but withโ€ฆ

I'm glad I bought it! Best in Lenses

I've been shooting with a Nikon 70-300mm lens for about 5 years and decided I needed more coverage Prices Nikon offers concluded that the Sigma 120-300 F2.8 DG OS HSM lens was the best choice for me. The Sigma 1.4 EX DG gives me 420mm with almost no degradation in image quality. The thing works great! Having read a lot of good things about this Sigma 2.0 EX DG it is now in my shopping cart and will soon have a lens covering 120mm @ F2.8 - 600mm @ 5.6, of course I must take the time to add it or

I highly recommend this teleconverter!

I bought this teleconverter to use with my Canon 7D and Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 OS lens to film high school football nights. The optics are very clear and work great with both the camera and lens. This reduces the lens's maximum aperture from f/2.8 to f/4, but I can live with that to get a little more focal length. At 1.4x zoom with my Canon 7D 1.6 crop sensor, this teleconverter gives an equivalent focal length of up to around 448mm at f/4.0, giving nice, sharp close-up shots with shutter speedsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Some issues

I'm new to photography but have spent an hour or so taking nearly four hundred macro shots at the local college conservatory; everything from hydrangeas to begonias and orchids to succulents. It really extends the range of my Sigma 105mm DG EX HSM macro lens (doesn't work with my 24-70mm DG EX HSM lens which isn't physically attached). This increases the magnification (1.4:1) but also slightly increases the minimum focal length, which can be nice as it allows you to keep a little more distanceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Rapid change
Cons
  • Almost never
