Not worth the price for Arts and Crafts

This thread has been a big disappointment. As my tests showed, it lacked the strength that it claims to have. Moreover, the thread kept breaking which was frustrating while working on my scrapbooking projects. Though it had a fine finish, it doesn't make up for its quality at that price.

Pros
  • Fine finish
Cons
  • Weak, Breaks easily.

Sews well but is VERY fluffy

This is a good thread, but it sheds more lint than any thread I've ever worked with. I use it to make free standing Battenburg snowflakes and have to take the machine apart and clean it about every hour or so. If I don't take it apart and clean it, the self-cutting function and the low-spool function on the machine no longer work because of all the lint. I probably won't buy this again.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged

It's a fuzzy one, but not the worst.

I grew up wearing Coats & Clark polyfilaments but have recently started learning to quilt. Everything I read on the forums or saw on YouTube seemed to involve the use of cotton yarn. The thread of the pile was something completely new to me. I had no idea how many strands a thread can leave behind. I have tried several brands and this 6000 yard reel is worth your money. It ties easily, doesn't tangle like some I've tried, and doesn't tear!

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other styles
