Tried two but none worked.

Couldn't even get the product to work on a monitor. The call to tech support went straight to voicemail with no response for two days. In the end, tech support told me to just send it back to Revain. I ordered a replacement device and the replacement device did not work either. As a result, they returned and returned the money. Would not recommend this product. I've used other brands that lasted a few years.

Works great after a little glitch on startup

I needed a splitter to send 4k to one TV and 1080 to a second TV. I tried a few other devices without success before settling on this one. I had some trouble setting it up - it didn't recognize 4k when both TVs were connected to run, but by setting up a 4k TV on its own and then adding a 1080 TV after the device 'learned' its settings " has it kept state 4k. Been running for a month or so, zero problems.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Why wasn't there a handshake?

Please read to the end. Let me show you my settings to start this review. My devices: (source) 1- Nvidia Shield TV. 2-Roku. 3- Cable / Satellite. 4- PC5- H96 Pro Android TV. All are connected to a Denon AVR X-3300W with a SIIG 1x4 4K 60Hz splitter. None of the settings can match the display except 1- (UDDU - 4K 8-bit capture. 709 no HDR.) 2- (UUUD - 1080p washed out colors) Support is trying to solve the problem with unsuccessful results. Returns unless otherwise stated. 2 stars removed because

Before that, I tried two more. Others have sync and HDCP issues and get very hot. This one was solid from the start. By default edid is set to 4k 60 HDR 7.1 audio and it worked great. However, if you want to switch framerate based on content, you need to set Edid learning mode so that it can adjust Edid based on your environment. I've only had it for a few days, but I haven't had any problems. The block heats up, but does not heat up. I'll update if anything changes, but so far I'm very happy…

Works flawlessly with hard-to-reach 4K and 1080p AV devices

Why this product hasn't received thousands of full-star reviews. I love it. I find it difficult to mix stuff that would otherwise complain about an unsupported connection (DirectTV receiver) along with multiple media players. Some sources are 4K/1080p, some are HDR capable and some are not. I connected it to another switch up front to handle the above source selection. The selected source is then fed into this splitter, essentially providing simultaneous input to a 4k TV, 1080p projector…
