Description of 💨 Silicon Power 2TB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen3x4 2280 TLC SSD - Ultra-fast speeds up to 3,400/3,000MB/s

PCIe Gen3x4 interface for read/write speeds of up to 3,400MB/s/ 3,000MB/s. TBW=3115. The warranty terms on all of its SSDs are based on whether the warranty length or TBW limit occurs first. To support a Silicon Power PCIe SSD, the system must have an M. 2 connector with only an M key. The Silicon Power PCIe SSD does not have a b notch and therefore, the b key on the SSD connector will prevent it from being inserted. The custom screw should come with the motherboard or PC. Please acquire the screw from your motherboard or PC Manufacturer, if needed.

Samsung is no longer the only game in town

Samsung is no longer the only game in town. Or maybe they are. This thing probably uses Samsung chips. Anyway, I added it and cloned my 512GB Samsung 860 Pro with Macrium Reflect. I extended the partition to use the entire 2TB. Then I wiped the Samsung and restarted. It's like I've never messed with it, except now I have 2TB of storage instead of 1/4 of it. Nice. Being able to have and run everything from a single master drive and literally back it up to that single master drive made things…

iMac 27 " 2017 works great with it. (externally so far)

I bought this to put in my iMac 27" 2017 and connect it to the NVMe USB C Thunderbolt adapter to Files to transfer through migration. HOLY COW, even on the surface my macOS runs insanely faster than my bundled Fusion setup. So fast and without delay that I was too lazy to set 4 hours correctly. rzunimag. I move huge video files with no lag or anything like that. idk if I even put it in the car now. rzunimag. It will be easier to resell the imac in a few years if I don't open it up and leave it…

Tricky exercise and misleading advertising

Ordered a 2TB SSD based on the Phison E12 controller, which has a "sequential read speed of up to 3500MB/s; Write speeds up to 3000MB/s", but this article is based on the Phison E12s controller and there is no way to increase the advertised speeds, instead it achieves a maximum sequential read speed of 3000MB/s; write speeds are at 2900 MB/s and the company neither denied nor refused to acknowledge this fact and ignored the message Silicon Power USA Inc initially responded to my question by…

Good price, >3400MB/s read speed

I have a new Lenovo C930 Yoga 2-in-1 laptop. The laptop had a 256GB SSD. They wanted more for an upgrade to a 1TB SSD than the cost of this 2TB SSD. A few days after receiving my laptop, I connected this new SSD to a USB-C port with a USB adapter and cloned it with Macrium. I then replaced the system SSD with this one and it booted right up. As announced, the first CrystalDiskMark benchmark showed over 3400 MB/s, but only 850 MB/s when writing. Today, about 2 weeks later, I ran CrystalDiskMark…

Great upgrade for 2017 27 " iMac (used as external system drive)

I bought a fresh loaded 2017 iMac at a **heavy** discount when the 2019 models were introduced. Only thing What I didn't like was the speed of the internal 2TB Fusion drive, so I bought this 2TB drive, a Sonnet Echo Express SEL Thunderbolt 3 to PCIe (Low Profile) expansion enclosure, and a StarTech.com M2 PCIe SSD (x4 PCIe) adapter 3.0. NVMe. I installed the SSD on the StarTech card, installed the card in the Sonnet chassis and everything was immediately recognized by the Mac. It took a while…
