Hard Plastic - Baking Molds

The egg mold is made of hard plastic, which means the chocolate cannot be removed. Return and buy something else, soft and flexible.

Nothing good to say

I ordered these egg tins for my birthday cake. I followed the seller's instructions for use (it's not a silicone mold so I was expecting a little more work) and no matter what I did I couldn't get the molds loose. I've oiled them and a bunch of other things and they just don't work. Also, they have a dirty color to begin with. There is hardly anything good to say about them.

Works perfectly. But read on to find out how to pop an egg out of a mold!

Great job! But. before I figured out the right trick (because there are NO instructions), I gave up and was ready to send it back! I threw it in the freezer on a whim and the egg popped right out! I left the remaining eggs separate, cut them in half, then filled with whatever you want to fill (I used folded printable gift cards), pinched the sides together, scooped up some melted chocolate with my finger or a small spatula, and ran it over the edge to seal it. Went like clockwork!

Makes good hot cocoa bombs.

Perfect for hot cocoa bombs! They are very thin/brittle and therefore very easy to pull out once the chocolate has set. My only complaint is that the bottom is too thin and as a result sometimes comes out flat instead of round. But then you can top it with decorations like we did. Comes with a set of two, making it easy to craft 6 bombs at a time. They fit perfectly in a regular 11 ounce mug. For the chocolate we used semi-sweet chocolate chips. I would probably add less hot coconut powder…
