I was very happy with this key case. It looks very sharp and protects keychain from bumps in pockets. It fits snugly and I didn't notice any odor from the silicone as others have commented. I would buy it again with great pleasure. My only complaint is that the silicone sticks to the fabric of any bag it's in. In my opinion this is not a problem.

Does not cover the key fob. This leaves a HUGE gap for the key blade. When you pull it out of your pocket, the lid comes off easily and every time due to the large gap. These keys don't need the blade to pop out. If you do this, your fob's battery will be dead, so you'll still need to remove it. So this cover is disappointing. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the large gap.

I had a cover on my key for a few months. This works, although the cases don't fit perfectly. I tried stretching the covers a bit but they are still too small. I have a 2018 GTi mk7.5. With a smart key so I never have to use the key. I've dropped the keychain several times and if it falls anywhere, the case is 100% protected. Overall I like the cover, I just wish it fitted a little better.

buy safely! Does exactly as described. We have silicone covers for all of our car keys. My wife just rented a new 2019 VW Tiguan SE 4Motion. Plastic keys break without silicone pads. The key is very slippery, with a case the key will not slip out of your hand. The cover fits very well and the side switch button comes out as it should. We bought 2, one black and one blue.

Update - After a week of use and the first soap wash, the smell went away. So far it fits perfectly. Changed from 1 to 4 stars. Perfect for my 18 Golf R key fobs, however they have a very strong chemical smell, some may cause nausea and vomiting for some people. The scent spreads to everything it touches. Try different methods to remove the smell. Not recommended at all because of the smell. From potentially 5 stars to 1.

Remote start would be better but the fact that the key has to slide out makes it less durable. It still fits very well and reduces the chance of it slipping out of your pocket (sometimes harder to reach. The buttons are a little harder to press than expected. The color looks pretty good and I've had mine for a couple of months now. The first one still looks like new but if it breaks I have a second one as a backup.

Silicone OK (quality, fit, finish). I would give it a 5 though, as other reviews have mentioned, this product (silicone) has a very very strong (chemical) smell. I had read other reviews before purchasing so I was prepared. I was able to get rid of the strong (chemical) smell by washing it several times. The first wash/dry I used very hot water and Dawn dish soap, the second wash/dry I used very hot water and scented antibacterial hand soap, and the third final wash/dry I used scented hand soap

3 stars and I think it's a good buy as there are very few alternatives. Key release is the biggest issue, small gap after a few months and looser than desired due to design constraints. I don't see anyone having more success with the same materials. Getting the red cap was an absolute must for me - with so many similar FOBs it's very easy to point this out to the staff when reclaiming your car. It just makes it that much easier to find your keys in a hurry in the morning when you put them down,
