We used this to resize some silver rings. It worked well, the flux was nice and clean as was the flux. It was a very strong connection. Keep in mind that just because it's "soft" doesn't mean it doesn't absorb a lot of heat. Hard like 1350f, soft like 1250f. But if you want something strong, you have to do this.
I may be new to soldering but I had high hopes. I may be using it incorrectly despite watching videos, reading about it etc. But just when I thought I had a good connection, it immediately broke down. I just can't get it to work like regular silver solder (which I'm having a hard time with).
I received this material to solder a Swarovski Diamanta bracelet (I KNOW - RISK!), no materials. Yes, we all know that Swarovski designs, not creates, heirlooms. Well I needed a quick fix and I've seen tons of YouTube videos swearing by this stuff. The charred mess with all the surrounding rocks later burned out - the material HAS NOT MELT YET. Pasta was SPECIALLY developed for the "soft" brand. Yes I risked it - yes I ruined my bracelet - and no, it still doesn't fit. Luckily I had a relapse…
