Our bedroom fan has small and troublesome cartridge types suitable for these lamps. I was impressed how bright they make the room. While I gave this item five stars for its energy savings, the price is also quite reasonable compared to traditional Home Depot and Lowe's lightbulbs.

I don't know if it's just an accident with this box or with this brand but we tried two different bulbs and both times after inserting the socket the bulb burst and the bulb detached from the base and left a jagged base with the glass remaining in the socket. We checked the rest of the bulbs and found that all of their bases were disconnected. In the photo there are two broken bulbs. The third I tried to show how the base is free and can be off center.
