Replaced my waterfall pump with this one. It squeezes out a lot of water, is reliable and looks like decent quality. From my point of view I have absolutely nothing to complain about for the price! Small pump with big power. I love it. I use it with a small open well and so far it works perfectly. I haven't tested to see the actual height but it performs well on my fountain which is about 2ft tall. The long cord is a big plus as it reached to my outlet unlike my previous pump. With this type you don't need an extension cord. It is easy to open and clean for easy maintenance.

The 15 year old pump died and it seemed a good combination of size and performance. I use this in a small outdoor pond about 3 x 6 feet and 12 inches deep, pushing water about 1.5 feet through 3/4 inch hose to a waterfall and 1/2 inch hose about half a foot by a little egret, which also spews water back into the pond. Pump station is made of very thin and fragile plastic that breaks very easily. When I pressed on the end of the pipe, one of the three edges that held the pump station together broke off immediately. This pump is by far the best pump I have ever purchased from Revain. I bought a total of 10 pumps to breed my fish. I breed blue tilapia catfish and hybrid bluegills. I have an aquaponic system that grows fish, vegetables and spices and it is very important that these pumps are always working properly. If you're going to use this to pump water into a canister filter, keep these two things in mind. On the positive side, you can reduce the flow rate with a valve. This can reduce leakage that occurs when using canister filters (too much pressure forces water out).
