Weird pattern

I haven't sewn in a long time (I used to sew A LOT) so I took this pattern to sew a shirt - wow! It's screwed up! The collar should really have one more detail that would make it a lot easier to make, and the sleeves should be made in a completely different way. The shirt looked good, but I had to make a few changes. I do not recommend this pattern if you are just learning to sew.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style

excellent finished product

I really liked the finished shirt. i did it for me The size corresponded to the size on the envelope. I don't usually wear a size 16, but if I hadn't taken my measurements the shirt would have felt too small. I added 3 inches in length which worked great for me. All sizes in one envelope. It was difficult with the collar, but everything worked out in the end. i will do it again

Pros
  • good product for the price
Cons
  • flimsy

Made Look A after Peter Lappin's camping shirt class. The pattern is excellent, fits well, the cut is excellent. Just ignore the instructions. Collar instructions are mostly incomprehensible when written that way, so watch some videos and do it, don't even try to interpret the instructions. The shoulder cuts too easily (about an inch and a half) so be prepared to ignore some of the nicks and re-pin them a few times. There is no inner yoke, but you can probably improvise by turning part of the…
