A very cute cuddly toy

I don't have much experience with commercial patterns but I saw this one and thought my kid would love it and I might try it. I don't recommend sewing minky until you 1. have made a kite a few times out of at least cotton and 2. have real experience sewing minky. super cute dragon toy my baby loves!

It was a really fun project for my 12 year old daughter!

I bought this pattern for my daughter for Christmas because she is obsessed with dragons. She made it with a little help from me and is not an advanced seamstress. If she does this again, we plan to put a bean bag chair on her stomach so it has some weight when it's on her shoulder. She made it out of polar fleece because she wanted it to be soft, but the thick fabric made it very difficult to stretch the legs and horns, so she ended up having to make some adjustments to the pattern. I wouldโ€ฆ

Great template, but make the necessary adjustments so you don't end up with a complete mess. See my review for tips.

I made my first one and just want to add something. I've been making toys for about 9 years now. While this pattern is easy to understand, it makes no sense and needs to be changed. Do not sew the legs to the body until you have sewn on the belly. Just do not. There is barely enough fabric between the legs and the bottom of the side panel to sew securely. My fabric was torn on both sides of the back legs. Terrible mess. He also "twisted" the body when it was all done. Looks like, like my kiteโ€ฆ
