The paper is very thin and tears easily.

The quality of the paper on this sample is very poor. break easily. I haven't bought a sample in years so it might be a new quality. I used to make my own clothes, including bespoke suits. Then I moved to the tropics and pareos and more casual wear started appearing in the wardrobe, so in 30 years I only bought two styles!

Funny pattern

I received this pattern and made myself what I call Coronamono to wear at home until the pandemic is over. It was very easy to do. I agree with the other reviewer - cut the back piece at the crease so you don't have to sew two pieces of back piece together and mess up the pattern. I don't understand why they didn't set it to fold for this piece. As for the long kimono, make sure to measure yourself because I'm 5'10" and this thing was dragging the floor! I had to lift it a few inches.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Newer pattern could have been chosen

Nice simple pattern!

I had a beautiful cotton tie dye that I was trying to figure out what to do with and this pattern was perfect. It was easy to follow and understand. However, this is not a quick submission because of the group. I also did French seams and sewed in a trench which took quite a bit of time. Suggestions: Go smaller than you think it's huge. With a very light, sheer fabric, this may be fine, but if you use anything heavier than cotton, it will choke you. I'm 5ft 7in, 135lbs, athletic (so no boobs)…
