You can work with RG-174 coax or less, but that's about it. According to Revain's description, they should have an inside diameter of 13mm, which is basically 1/2 inch inside diameter. I bought two sets which I returned due to an inaccurate product description.

I was having USB mouse and keyboard interference on my hobby cottage computer. I installed one of these chokes at each end of both cables (going through 2 turns of cable) and my RFI problem was solved! Small and light enough to be unobtrusive.

Some thinner cables are 'ok' but will slip a bit on thinner cables (obviously) Easy to use, just use your fingernail to pop the latch/clip on both parts, it opens straight up, 7mm will fit snug/snug/perfect to my cable. just need to press well to close them securely. Thank you SING F LTD5 STARS!

Works well to prevent RFI on my RG6 HD antenna cables. I put mine behind the wall panels to hide them. The thickness of my rg6 wire is about 9mm and these fit 13mm a bit loose. It's not enough that they slip, but it could also be tighter. I don't know how they measure these filters at the factory, but it took me a second try to find the right ones.

The new HID ballasts in my car generated a lot of RF noise which made AM/FM reception very loud and hard to hear (a common problem btw). I glued all the rings in the package to the headlight wiring and the problem is solved. Well, 98% solved, there's a bit of whining, but I just used them willy-nilly. The right loop of the right cables in the right place will probably solve this problem 100%, but I'm happy and lazy.
