Too bad other reviewers have not had good experiences with these needles as they were exactly what I was looking for but local craft stores no longer stock them and they are not the kind from needles that used to be included in cross stitch kits that I bought from craft stores many years ago (e.g. mid 90's). I bought this to replace the traditional small needle eyes that are used on many needles. I don't sew much, but when I do I tend to sew large areas.
