Edges increase over time

The edges of these patches increase over time no matter how carefully you follow the instructions. I had to apply fabric glue to hold them in place. I've tried other brands and they're going up too, so the Singer brand isn't any better or worse.

  • Positive only
Cons

Does exactly what it's supposed to do

This is great because you can cut yourself the size you need instead of buying kits of different sizes and colors that you don't need (like I had to do with mine local fabric shop). The denim was a nice neutral shade that went well with both my light and dark jeans. Attaches in seconds and stays in place wash after wash.

Pros
  • also understands the old ones
Cons
  • Nothing

Hot melt denim patches make jeans last longer

This wasn't my first order of Singer jumbo hot melt patches. I use them on the inside of my jeans when they first tear or fray. The patches keep the tear from growing and greatly extend the life of my jeans. Their large size makes them ideal for large tears, but they are easy to trim for small holes. I think they are a good product.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • There are problems

Doesn't stick to jeans

I bought these patches to fix my husband's jeans. I followed the directions and when I was done they looked fine. The next day I noticed the corners were peeling so I did them again thinking this would solve the problem. This is not the case and the patch will no longer be removed. These patches do not adhere very well to the fabric. I am not satisfied with this product and will not buy it again.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Will buy more if needed

Easy to iron. Durable fabric. I actually used it to mend a torn fabric in my Doc Marten rigger boots. They pull on the boot. The patch stayed in place about 50 times when it was put on and taken off. However, I have not used this product solely as an iron on a patch. I sewed on the patch before ironing. I also used Singer denim patches to fix my unwanted work jeans. I have used them to repair holes in my back pocket and crotch in high wear areas. They have survived many wears and washes.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Ok but need a hot iron

I bought these for my favorite weekend warrior jeans. I haven't washed them since applying this patch but they seem to be sticking well to my Rowenta iron; This is a reputable brand that you won't find at Walmart or Tea. (Must be very hot) Since there was a real hole in the knee of my jeans I used half for the front and the rest for the inside to melt the two glues. Otherwise, you have to pull the front leg from behind. The material feels durable and not too thin. Although I pressed hard with…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something different
