Fits perfectly on my 32 year old Sears Kenmore sewing machine, plenty of room for pedal and cord. Just measure your car beforehand to make sure it fits. A Note: The item is very close to the top of the shipping carton lid when you open the package. If you open the box with a knife, be careful; If the knife penetrates in any quantity, it can hit the upper body. It didn't happen to me, but I felt like it could easily happen.

I just got mine. The box it comes in has a Singer logo which is not on the case itself. The white hard plastic box was clean and unused. It looks cheap, if poorly made, and is "universal" in the sense that almost any car will fit in it with ease. Mine, with lots of extra space. I use some foam to make a slot so the car doesn't wobble in it. I intend to use the case solely for dust protection.

I have three Singer sewing machines (one vintage, inherited from my grandmother, sits in the desk), the rest are relatively new. I bought it not knowing if it would fit my car (Singer 5560) which I don't use very often. Fits well! It is of excellent quality, I feel my car is safe and reliable, specially protected from dust. This is almost the only hard carrying case I could find for a sewing machine. My entry-level Janome machine is a bit small for this, so when I use it for travel it needs a pillow to keep it from rattling. That's not really a problem, it's better to be too big than too small. Purchased in 2011. Fits my Singer 7469q and Singer 9985. I would give it 5 stars but the side panel plastic feels a little flimsy and the latch areas feel flimsy to me. Comments on this product from those who claim it is "too big". I mean, would you really kill if you spent 5 minutes measuring and comparing your car? And secondly; it is written that it is universal!
