Looked like a good option. But it didn't load.

Installed with the new SK hynix Gold P31 PCIe NVMe as a secondary drive (Late 2013 21.5" iMac, 2638) it loops at power on and no reset or recovery attempts work (it will rebooted before you can access the disk in recovery mode!).I removed it from my iMac and it booted fine.I uninstalled it, cleaned the contacts on both the SSD and the adapter card and reinstalled it to no avail Bottom line, the thing doesn't work

Works with my 27 " imac 27 "

Fits perfectly on my 27" 5k imac from 2017 when paired with the essential P2 2TB NVME, no problems with that it is flush or screwed on.

Sleep/Wake/Hibernate not working. And it overheats. Ensures long-term stability.

I have a 15" MacBook Pro A1398 from mid 2014. Came with all tools. Installation was fine. Installed a fresh copy of Catalina. High Sierra and everything after that will update Boomrom to accommodate NVMe connections BUT the two big issues I'm currently facing are: 1. Won't sleep and won't go to sleep.It won't sleep after pressing the power button and after closing the clamshell.2.I've found that it's much hotter than usual (when nothing works at all) and louder 3. Arrives quickly, comes with tools and is easy to install and my 2017 Macbook Air works great. I am very happy with this purchase.

Don't buy this tool adapter

I really think this product works well except for the tools that come with it. These tools are very low quality and you may end up stripping the pentagon head screws. I almost ripped one off and stopped using the tool. Bought quality tools from iFixit that really work. Tools aside, I find the adapter itself works really well.

Works perfectly! - Computer and accessories

worked great and arrived quickly! used with a 970 evo plus 2TB in my mid 2015 15" Macbook Pro. Make sure the solid state click of the SSD goes into the adapter but don't press too hard.
