If you need to pin some wires this will work. Not the highest quality, but I didn't expect more for the price. Great if you need to connect from time to time, not if you do it every day.

I have been in the electronics industry for over 40 years. These pens are not easy to use, in fact I refused. I can use the wire that comes with the kit for something, but the pins and moldings are wasted. Maybe someone else has better luck, but not me.

like the white plugs I bought these do not quite fit on the plug and this is what the tool I bought was sold for. You shouldn't mess around. The tool has a slot where you want the inside of the part to end. it stays there, but the part that should be hanging from the tool is in the crimping area and will be crimped.

As you know the pin depth must be correct for the crimping tool to work without breaking the head. It is short. My Preciva jaw spacing is about 0.7cm, while this set is about 0.5cm. Check your crimping tool as it is not marked. I have to throw away the pens and buy new ones to use the case.

Insulation section tabs don't crimp fully but it could be a tool. Trim as needed with needle nose pliers for full and easy insertion into connector housing. The stripped part of the wire is crimped well. The lugs for inserting the terminals on the connector housing are a bit wobbly. my first sentence I will try another brand or maybe next time go for a well known brand like Molex or Amp.

I have worked with electronics for over 40 years. I find these metal pins and especially the female connectors too flimsy to work with. They rarely withdraw into themselves and often do not make good contact. Very unreliable. Since I unsuccessfully tried to make three jumpers, each of which failed in its own way, I'm not asking for their return, I'll most likely just throw them away. Instead, I bought ready-made sweaters.

Connectors (even properly crimped) are of such poor quality that the slightest movement of the connectors breaks the continuity of at least one of them. I glued the plastic connectors, still doesn't help. I'm not talking about the corrugated area. I'm talking about plastic pin and socket contacts and plug housings. I really don't understand why anyone would even give these connectors a 3 star rating let alone a five star rating. Stay away from them.

I got this set because I wanted to make wire harnesses that can be connected and disconnected frequently. The crimps on the ends of the pins are so thin. After connecting and disconnecting the harnesses a few times, my contacts broke in the sockets. Also, as mentioned earlier, it is difficult to seat the crimps in the connectors with good continuity. The ribbon cable and connectors seem to be of decent quality, I just wish the quality of the crimps themselves could be improved.
