📻 Universal Remote Control for Sirius Satellite Radio Review

I just got this universal remote for my 15 year old XM radio that had two worn out remotes. It activates the radio so I tried to return it but it was refused. This remote will not work with my XM radio, but Revain will not accept returns.

The product works well with my Stratus 7 but it took me 2 hours to find out that the included CR2025 battery was actually dead. After installing a new battery, everything is fine. Please do not call Sirrus and ask what remotes work with the Stratus 7, they will not tell you.

Update - so for an extra $5 I got a working remote control. I had to replace the battery right out of the box. I assume "turn on battery" doesn't say it works. Received today and put the battery in, it doesn't work at all. I'll try swapping out the included battery and see if that makes a difference. If so, I'll update my review.

It would be great if I could get ANY information on how to program this remote control for my XM radio. After looking online for programming information I just said damn it and sent the second remote back. If the people selling this product can't provide information about their remote control, I don't need it. Less than 1 star due to lack of support.

I had XMP3 first, then bought an older Stratus 6 to get some extra Nascar car stereos. Brand new from SiriusXM, neither the Stratus nor the Home Kit came with a remote control. NO REMOTE CONTROL? Are you kidding me? Sorry to digress, this is a Sirius universal remote so some buttons may not work with your radio and it will not work with an XM radio. XM radios appear to be versatile. My old Roady 2 remote works with XMP3 but not Sirius radio.

I bought this remote control to use with a Sirius XM radio which I connect my Sirius XM radio to when I am not listening to it in the car. It's small and works great if you're across the room and need to switch the radio to Sirius radio. A must if you have a Sirius XM Boombox. I wouldn't recommend using it in a car unless someone else is driving it because it's like texting from a cell phone. You have to take your eyes off the road for too long to play with to change stations.
