As per other reviews, the elastic heel support wore out after a few uses. The tailoring is pretty rough. As soon as the thread breaks, everything falls down. I kept them and my son only uses them as sandals.

The fabric came off the shoes after wearing them 3 times and my kid didn't even wear them all day just outside for a short time. I would not recommend buying it if you plan on letting your child play with it.

These shoes have been strong since March, have not ripped or torn anywhere. We don't let them outside, so I can't speak to heat distortions, but they jumped through puddles, dug in the mud, climbed onto the playground, even on a mid-terrain hike, which we didn't expect us to do. I will buy them every year my son loves how easy they are to put on.
