After a few hours I noticed they were a bit tight so I cut off the elastic part of the upper and now they fit like a glove. Very comfortable shoes. The assembly is very solid. My favorite couple after the makeover. They have a wide box that allows the feet to relax without squeezing the metatarsal bones. If you have a high instep, you may need to replace the elastic part of the top.

Sometimes loafers have a wrist on both sides, which can be tight for a person with a high instep. I had to cut off the dried out surface so I could squeeze the upper into the shoe and comfortably hold the shoe.

These shoes are fantastic. I needed black shoes for a new job 18 months ago and found them in a famous shoe. They were comfortable and the only reason I needed a new pair to replace them was because the interior around the heel deteriorated too much which was annoying. but could probably get another month or so of it.
