Rubbish, just buy OEM on Ebay

This is probably the cheapest power supply money can buy. You can upgrade to OEM for just $15. When he arrived he wasn't working. Upon closer inspection, the output pins weren't even soldered to the adapter inside the box. Once I soldered the pins it worked like a charm.

Yes, it is a power cord.

I plan to use it to spice up my old SNES. Since the title was SNES I put two and two together and figured it would work. To my little surprise, it worked! I have a working SNES again and it's great except it doesn't have any controllers or games.

So definitely choose a different one as the console won't get enough power from that one to do anything useful.

This is not the Genesis 1 cable you are looking for. Although the listing says it outputs 1000mA, the one I got outputs 850mA. Nothing is loaded. The Genesis 1 needs to have a 1200mA power supply anyway, so be sure to choose a different one as the console isn't getting enough power to do anything useful.
