I have a preschool and preschool kids loved to play with apples. Colours, counting and color patterns are practiced. I forgot that these apples open and that they contain seeds until I was about to write this review. No one knew these apples opened. Kids will love playing with this newfound counting/matching toy.

This is a great educational toy. Seeds will not fall out, so there is no choking hazard. The colors are beautiful and contrasting. I'm only giving it 4 stars because one of the stems on one of the apples broke off. My son uses them with his play food set and with his Step 2 Christmas tree outside of the holiday season. The apples fit perfectly into the spots of the ornament!

I bought these apples for my home care for our Apple device and my little ones love them! Currently used primarily by 3-5 year olds, I have a feeling my 2 year olds will benefit greatly from this. We counted and color checked, sorted, weighed with them and will be building a combined wash station/factory today. It's definitely well laid out. I look forward to buying more school supplies (maybe there will be flowers with a letter next).

This product makes a great STEM activity for toddlers through 1st grade. I should mention that our cat finds it fascinating too. These apples are made of durable plastic and open to reveal varying amounts of seeds. Apples can be used to simulate laundry, start a shop, build an apple factory, learn to count and anything else you and your child can think of. My 2 year old daughter loves these apples! We name the colors, sort the colors and when she opens them. which she can make herself, she loves colored guts and seeds! We count them and she puts them together. This part was a little frustrating for her until I showed her how to align the stems, once it clicked for her she loves to bring them back and forth. Great educational toy. There are endless little games for ages 2/3 and even 4 year olds. Add and subtract as well. Highly recommended!

Although designed to teach children to count and recognize colors, they can also be interesting as simple toys in their own right. My 3 year old granddaughter loves counting, arranging apples and figuring out which part goes with which; while the youngest of 19 months (with visual impairment and high tactile sensitivity) enjoys the brightness of the colors and the suppleness of the toy. Both kids were entertained for an hour which is pretty impressive considering the simplicity of apples.

I have a very active 2.5 year old boy. Teaching him, or at least allowing him to appreciate what he knows, has been a challenge. When I first got them he loved taking them apart and then I showed him how to find the right colors - putting them together etc. Immediately after that he started matching colors and putting them together.
