I like that you only have to add characters once. It stores them in your game so you don't have to keep pointing at the portal while you play. The portal was very sensitive. Some characters required multiple save attempts. I found it helpful to keep the characters directly above the portal. When I touched them with the portal, an error occurred. The game is fun with good pictures.

We had to have this for our 3DS. It's very similar to the Wii or Xbox version, but you can save characters so you don't have to take them everywhere. Of course, if you have a lot of characters, it will take some time to set them all up in there. I liked most of what the Skylanders series had to offer. I only play 3ds xl so keep that in mind. The portal gets stronger with each iteration. With every game I like the style of the world less. There is so much beauty in the first two games that it pales next to them. The game hangs heavily from time to time and loading between areas was VERY slow.
